Burny Games is a Ukrainian product and publishing game development company focused on mobile puzzle games that blend creativity with analytics. Our mission is to challenge players’ minds daily by delivering a consistently high-quality gameplay experience.

Founded in 2022, Burny Games has grown into a team of 100+ specialists, with hubs in Kyiv, Ukraine, and Lisbon, Portugal.

Key Highlights

  • 65+ million downloads across the company’s portfolio
  • #2 Employer in Ukrainian GameDev (DOU, 2026)
  • Fastest-growing mobile game studio in Ukraine (DOU, 2025)
  • Full in-house pipeline: development, live ops, analytics, and publishing
  • A deeply data-driven approach to product and team development

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile SDK Developer to create and maintain our cross-platform solution. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of mobile technologies, network protocols, and data security, as well as significant experience in developing SDKs for critical systems.

What you'll do:

  • Own the Rust core: service logic, networking, data sync, offline mode.
  • Build and maintain native layers: Kotlin with JNI, Swift with C interop, C# with P/Invoke for Unity.
  • Design and maintain the API our internal product teams build on, including backward compatibility.
  • Handle builds, packaging, and releases across all supported platforms.

Must-have:

  • 5+ years of overall engineering experience; 1+ year of Rust in production (yes, one year — we care about engineering maturity, not just Rust tenure).
  • Confident with async, threads, synchronization, queues, and deadlock debugging.
  • Practical FFI experience: extern "C", JNI, memory management across the language boundary.
  • Experience with local databases, including version-to-version migration and resilient-first / data-preservation-first design.
  • Comfortable building under real constraints: limited RAM, disk, and battery.
  • At least one or two platform stacks — Android, Apple, Unity, or Windows (not all four; the architecture is documented and patterns are consistent, so you'll pick up the rest on the job).
  • Experience shipping and maintaining an SDK or library used by other teams.
  • English at a level comfortable reading/writing technical documentation.
  • A macOS machine to work from (required for building the Apple targets — no way around this one).

If your Rust is under a year but you've got real C++, C, or Zig experience — reach out, let's talk.

Nice to have:

  • uniffi or similar binding generators.
  • CI/CD and package publishing experience (SwiftPM, Maven, UPM).
  • In-app purchases (Play Billing, StoreKit).
  • Game development experience.
  • Mobile binary size optimization.

What we offer:

  • 100% payment of vacations and sick leave [20 days vacation, 22 days sick leave], medical insurance.
  • A team of the best professionals in the games industry.
  • Flexible schedule [start of work from 8 to 11, 8 hours/day].
  • L&D center with courses.
  • Self-learning library, access to paid courses.
  • Stable payments.

The recruitment process:

CV review → Interview with TA → Interview with Full-stack Developer → Final Interview with CTO → Job offer

If you share our goals and values and are eager to join a team of dedicated professionals, we invite you to take the next step.
